John is a farm veterinarian and the father Cassie and husband of Aisha.^[1]

Biography

When their daughter was still young, Aisha and John moved to live on and operate a wildlife preserve caring for the various animals including horses,^[2] camels, deer, antelopes, peafowl, monkeys,^[3] an orphaned Harris's hawk,^[4] and big game animals such as a tiger and a lion.^[5]

• Although he is referenced, John never actually appears in the TV series.
• In the book series, Cassie's father is named Walter instead of John.^[6]
