The Siberian tiger is a subspecies of the tiger, which is the largest living cat species native to Earth. It was acquired by Jake and served as his main battle morph.
Acquiring

In The Invasion, set in 1997,[note 1] Jake and Marco found themselves inside the Siberian tiger exhibit of The Gardens. After Jake partially sat on a male Siberian tiger by accident, he acquired it to place it in a trance. He and Marco then ran for the exit while another Siberian tiger in the enclosure chased after them, nearly biting them.[1]
Usage

Jake first used his Siberian tiger during his first trip to the Underground Yeerk Pool Complex where it became his official battle morph.[1] It became Jake's favorite and most used morph, and was used for the majority of all his battles against the Yeerk Empire, which mostly consisted of Hork-Bajir-Controllers and the occasional bout against Visser Three in one of his numerous exotic morphs. Jake also used the tiger morph when he fought David in his lion morph, which David was able to win since the tiger lacked a mane to protect its throat.[2]

- In The Invasion, Jake describes the male Siberian tiger he ended up acquiring as being 700 pounds. In The Predator, Marco states that Jake's tiger weighs "easily" 400 pounds.
- The Siberian tiger is the only one of the Animorphs' battle morphs that Visser Three has shown admiration for,[3][4][5] as well as the only one of their battle morphs that he wished to also acquire.[4][5]
